When making a comparative analysis of Poland and other EU countries, it is worth compiling data of Central and Eastern Europe countries, which for many centuries were considered as less developed regions of the Old continent. In 2018, the value of construction joinery production in Central and Eastern European countries belonging to the EU amounted to 7,102.4 million EUR - by 8.6% more than in 2017. In this group of countries, Poland is an unquestionable leader in construction joinery production with 52,5% share (51,9% in 2017).

Construction joinery is a Polish export hit. "Made in Poland" labelled doors, windows, gates, fences, shades, sills etc. get the attention of foreign customers not so much in price as in quality and design. Export is very important for companies operating in the construction joinery industry - for some companies it represents a larger share than actions taken on the domestic market.

For the fourth year in a row, Poland remained the leader in terms of the value of export of construction joinery among all European Union countries. Both the value of the country's exports and its share increases year by year.
